It began at 6:00 AM, Saturday August 25th, 2012.....
Actually it began 8:00 PM May 25th, 2012 an idea! Which caught the imaginations of the J(acksonville). O(utreach). C(ouncil). So began the beginnings of the 1st Annual Jacksonville Circuit BBQ Cook-off, which brings us back to... It began at 6:00 AM, Saturday August 25th, 2012. BBQ teams from Grace Lutheran (who hosted the event), St Pauls Lutheran and Bethlehem Lutheran; gathered before the sunrise to fire up their grills and smokers. Once their meat was inspected it was seasoned, rubbed and laid on the grill to cook.
